Congratulations and Best Wishes Mr and Mrs Michael and Glaiza Villapando - reception program took place at Amaranth Garden Venue.
The weather was good and while waiting for the guests I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the venue.
I was also accompanied by my apprentice in hosting Pitz Sarmenta.
Once again all gratitude to Ms Love and Ma'am Alice for giving me the opportunity and the privilege to be their accredited host. All glory and praises to God for all the blessings!
You might be wondering why my post was titled "10 for 1 at T.A. and Chin's Wedding". Well this is to recognize 10 suppliers who were given the opportunity by T.A. and Chin to work in 1 day on April 22 as their wedding suppliers thus 10 FOR 1 ... cool eh?
It's always exciting and easy to work with wedding suppliers you've worked for the nth time not to mention that my team is always honored to be with them on each of my couple's wedding date.
During my couple's T.A. and Chin Mangulabnan's wedding last April 22, 2012, our team once again had the opportunity to work with the best of the best wedding suppliers that the industry has to offer.
1. Dressing Venue was at the Astoria Plaza
2. Their Hair and Make Up Artist (HMUA) was Val Villarin
3. Chin's gown was designed by Ammon Velasco
4. Church Ceremony took place at Santuario De San Jose Greenhills and Reception Program was celebrated at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club Banquet AB Venue
5.Their food was provided by Via Mare Catering
6. Lights and Sounds were covered by RejectKrew and was taken care of by Kumpareng Elmer
7. Photography and Videography were provided by East Digital Studio

9. The event was made memorable by no other than my favorite emcee Mallory Ferrer-Cosio

Well after the event, it was just kulitan and bonding time with the couple, Elmer (Rejectkrew) and Arnol (East Digital).
I'm always fascinated by unique prenuptial photoshoots thought of by my clients and executed and captured well by their photo/video supplier.
Just like in the case of my July 14, 2012 couple Engr Reymar &Dra Joyce Ann Mercado whose theme was "Involved in Accident" and what a great way to choose the MMDA's impounding site as their prenuptial venue.
Their creative juices paid off with the beautiful moments and poses captured by Studio 1 Photography. The secret here is number 1 choose your prenuptial them, number 2 choose your prenuptial venue, number 3 leave all your worries behind, number 4 enjoy the day - after all once the photos are made it will be yours forever to see and lastly just smile and let your photographers capture those perfect shots!
Sharing with you "pictures" that the couple sent me that I also used for their customized guestbook.
I am giving this blog post tribute to two good friends who are great examples of true friendship, love and lifelong commitment - Mr. and Mrs. Genesis and Russel Binagatan. With all my heart, I am truly happy with what they have accomplished not just in their careers but specifically to their marriage. And I am truly blessed to be given this privilege to be their friend and their host during their wedding.

As their friend, I am so proud to have known them for over 10 years now. Theirs was such a great love story that started way back in highschool, their love blossomed as they grew mature as well, their love was tested by time and trials but they stood by each other and fought all the battles together with God as the center of their lives. Just thinking of what they've gone through makes me teary eyed and smile and at the same time makes me want to do a standing ovation as they exemplify what friendship, love and lifelong commitment really means.

To my dear friends - Gen and Russel congratulations and best wishes, you've already started your "happy walk" and I'm sure with Terence and Therese it will be more complete. You have my prayers, my blessings and my love!

One of the freebies I'd give my couples would be Your Events Customized Guestbook - a scrapbook type with DIY designs where guests would be able to give unlimited messages to the newlyweds.
Why do I offer customized guestbook for the couple?
Signature Frame is an "old" thing for weddings - that means it's no longer the trend, it's no longer the "in-thing". I can't remember the many times we've worked together, few couples came to mind - he was there during Gerry and Mars Ilagan Wedding at Calaruega - Taal Vista, Francis and Alerie Andres' Wedding at Mount Carmel - Lights of Love, Joseph and Junel Balon's Wedding at St. James Alabang-Portofino Heights and most recently with Jeffrey and Magan Redulla's Wedding at St. Peregrine-Portofino Heights (just to mention a few).

I enjoyed taking these after church wedding pictures of my December couple Garry and Wellah at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral - talking about posing with attitude - in other words "Astig Pose".
I'm sure Garry and Wellah's future kids will enjoy looking at this in the future and will them "Ma,Pa, cool! Astig!"

In a wedding, the BRIDAL BOUQUET is the bride's representation in the wedding. That's why brides should be meticulous and must intricately choose the flowers and its colors to perfectly describe/represent her.
And to perfectly represent the GROOM in a wedding would be the WEDDING CAKE. Although grooms are not that really hands-on during the wedding planning, they should still have a say to at least the wedding cake. Here in the Philippines it's not a common practice that grooms would actually choose what design/color/size their wedding cake should be - they would always leave that decision to their brides.
The BIG QUESTION is why is the WEDDING CAKE the groom's representation in the wedding? I made an analysis on this one and here's my opinion -
One wedding tradition is the Cake Cutting Ceremony where the wedding cake plays a vital role in it. According to tradition, the cake cutting ceremony is usually the first task that married couples would partake in as husband and wife and during this ceremony it is the HUSBAND who will play a CRUCIAL ROLE in cutting the cake
The Groom needs to place his hand over his bride as a symbolism that he will be the HEAD OF THE FAMILY, the PROVIDER and the PILLAR OF STRENGTH. The Groom is also the first one to give the first share of the cake to his bride as acceptance of his new role as HUSBAND and eventually as father to their future kids.
It is also the GROOM/HUSBAND who will be the FAMILY'S PROVIDER wherein the wedding cake is a symbolism of such provision/blessing from God
Thus, my very expert conclusion that the WEDDING CAKE is solely the GROOM'S SYMBOLISM in the wedding.
So to all GROOMS out there who will have the chance to read this blog prior to their wedding date, please do CHOOSE your wedding cake!!!

So if bride's can actually choose ecuadorian roses, tulips, calla lilies for their bridal bouquet, I guess it would be EXCITING and COOL if the groom's can actually choose what color/design/how many layers they would like for their wedding right?
