5 things you should know about Mang Boy Mahusay - Dangwa's foremost and talked-about florist!

I first get to worked with him in 2007 and from there on he's one of those few florists I would recommend to my clients especially those looking for affordability yet quality and elegance in design.

There are 5 things that I'd often tell my clients so they can find Mang Boy easily at the busy streets of Dangwa and avoid those impostors/fake florist pretending they are him:

1.  Look for his stall at Dangwa - Stall No. 16 - Jarielle Flowershop --> if he's not there, look for his ever reliable shadow/assistant Mang Jon;

2.  He has an eye catching moustache and an evident rosary tatoo;

3.  He's ever popular in W@W, I guess that's the reason why his receipts would include  sort of a W@W symbol on it;

4.  He will present you the list/distribution/ layout of flowers via his trademark Yellow Sheet Paper;

5.  He's a very honest supplier and would make suggestions to his couple not to invest too much on flowers as they are the ones that would become colorless and wither at the end of the day (unless of course the couple would preserve it, which is another topic); aside from his honesty, he is very cool to talk, simple and a very funny guy.

So again, if you are looking for a competitive, quality and affordable flower supplier, no doubt I am recommending Mang Boy Mahusay.

I told you guys, he is funny - Mean and I had our photos taken with Mang Boy at the Bay Leaf Hotel and he said "kunyari ako si groom"  hehehehe...

I told you he's one of those simplest florist in the industry ...

10 Unique Wedding Ideas, the Jhay-R & Vivian's Way

August 25, 2012 was the beginning of rest of the lives of Jhay-R and Vivian.  I had a wonderful time during their wedding as the ideas brought by the couple were unique and cool.

Their dressing venue was at the Cocoon Hotel, church venue at the Our Lady of Consolation Parish and reception venue at the Grand Terrace.

Based on my assessment, the couple brought 10 Unique Ideas during their wedding day (though I'm sure it's more than 10, but let me just stick to 10 for now **wink,wink**)

1.  Sweet Treats as prize for the last table number called - the couple gave sweet treats/goodies (mini-toblerone, kitkat, kisses) to the last guest table called

2.  DIY table numbers, VIP place cards etc.

3.  DIY Couple caricature pasted on a board with matching straws and mini-banderitas as Cake Topper

4.  Couple's coffee table with intricate designs  - instead of the usual couple's table with table and tiffany chairs, the couple opted for a love seat and mini-coffee table in front and with pillows as designs

5.  Couple's non-traditional bridal car - Beetle Limousine  - usually bridal cars are Mercedes Benz, but this the couple opted for yes, a limousine but it is a Beetle Limousine

(with Cynthia - Bride's Assistant)

(Hencel posing at the Bridal Car)

6.  a "Just Married" banner at the bridal car that was hang after the Recessional Ceremony in the Church

7.  a "CELEBRATE" banner at the Couple's Cake Table - another DIY project of the Bride

8.  a "J&V WEDDING" banner at the entrance area of Grand Terrace  - instead of the usual tarpaulin placed at the entrance, the couple opted for a DIY banner

9.  a DIY "JV" letters placed at the Gift Registry Table - my favorite!

10.  a "Thumbmark" Signature Frame - instead of the usual Signature Frame where guests will write their names and messages, the couple had a thumbmark frame/canvass with a plain drawing of a tree and guests are encouraged to sign-off with their "thumbs" from the different pastel different colors at the registration area.

And let me present to you the couple behind those 10 Unique Wedding Ideas ... Mr & Mrs Jhay-R and Vivian Guzman with Your Events Team.

Cel

Thank you MULTIPLY!

It's sad to know that Multiply is closing its social networking/blogging and sharing services but it will still remain and will be focusing more on eCommerce.

Before Facebook and Twitter, everyone was on Multiply - I've had my account since 2007, same year when my wedding business is soaring high.  I am in debt with Multiply as I was able to get 20% of my client base with them - browsing through my site, checking all the pictures and messages of my previous clients.  It was a free service I was getting from them and my multiply site is connected to Facebook and Twitter which is an easy access.

I will surely miss updating Multiply but thank God (through jomarhilario.com) for introducing me to dlvrit.com, seeismic and networkedblogs.com and of course, we still have Facebook --- and with that my online business will still continue.

Again, thank you MULTIPLY!  Hopefully, hopefully, time and budget permits I may go back to your site, continue business with you through your eCommerce service.  Goodluck and God Bless!

Involved in Accident - A unique prenuptial photoshoot at the MMDA impounding site

I'm always fascinated by unique prenuptial photoshoots thought of by my clients and executed and captured well by their photo/video supplier.

Just like in the case of my July 14, 2012 couple Engr Reymar &Dra Joyce Ann Mercado whose theme was "Involved in Accident" and what a great way to choose the MMDA's impounding site as their prenuptial venue.

Their creative juices paid off with the beautiful moments and poses captured by Studio 1 Photography.  The secret here is number 1 choose your prenuptial them, number 2 choose your prenuptial venue, number 3 leave all your worries behind, number 4 enjoy the day - after all once the photos are made it will be yours forever to see and lastly just smile and let your photographers capture those perfect shots!

Sharing with you "pictures" that the couple sent me that I also used for their customized guestbook.

Narvaez Weddings - word of the mouth does pay off!

2008 Legaspi - Narvaez Wedding ... 2012 Carpio - Narvaez Wedding.

It was a great opportunity and a humbling experience to have worked with 2 Narvaez's at 2 different years at a 2 different venues ...

I've worked first with Janina Narvaez-Legaspi last October 17, 2008 when she and her husband Jan Legaspi trusted us to become their coordinators - reception venue at the Gazebo Royale.  It was such a great experience as my team was young then - they were such a down to earth couple who will never let you feel that you are a supplier but rather like a friend ..

(Your Events Team with Mr&Mrs Jan and Janina Legaspi at Gazebo Royale)

And then after 3 years I received a text from Johana Narvaez as she mentioned that she was Janina's younger sister and that she'll be getting married in January 14, 2012 - this time she'll be getting our OTD cooordination with emcee services - and should I say the rest was history.

(Your Events Team with Mr&Mrs Dennis and Johana Carpio at Ibarra's Garden)

I'm thankful to Jan and Janina for still remembering us after 3 years and making us once again a part of their lives - this time their sister's lives.  I could really say that "word of mouth" in a competitive times like this in the wedding industry does pay off.

Mean - my assistant head coordinator, bride's shadow and cousin rolled into one

Yes, you got the title right - Mean - my assistant head coordinator, bride's shadow and cousin rolled into one! She is Mary Ann, first cousin from my mother's side and has been Your Events Team original member ever since.

So, we've been working harmoniously together as a team since 2007 and now it's 2012 so almost 5 years now! Whew! What a feat for our partnership ... I guess that's how you define passion and how we found extraordinary joy in doing events.

I consider Mean my assistant head coordinator - she can manage an event while I'm having a meeting or while I'm at another event, she can also be a church head coordinator, she can be a bride's shadow and she can also be a reception head coordinator.  That I would say is the mark of a true Events Coordinator - whatever events assignment you put her, she'll give you results.

So to my dear cousin Mean, thank you for from the bottom of my heart - truly the passion and the fire in you keeps on burning!

Below are some of the wacky shots that Mean and I had in one of our events at Patio Ibarra Quezon Ave:
